Little Pricey but worth it November 2, 2012 Reviewer: Cory Landers from Palo Alto, CA United States   Its a bit pricy for what it is, but it will save you money in the long run.   I can fill my 20oz tank across the street from my apartment for $4 bucks...only takes 4 refills to pay for itself. Works as advertised! October 31, 2012 Reviewer: Thomas from Edmonds, WA United States   It feels good to finally be free from the shackles of Sodastream's expensive proprietary refills! Could not be happier with this purchase October 26, 2012 Reviewer: Ian from Redondo Beach, CA United States   I placed my order for a SodaMod and a CO2 tank and BAM got it quickly in the mail. Got it filled for a little over 3 bucks at Sports Authority, slapped my SodaMod on it and next thing I know, I'm drinkin' tasty soda water without being ripped off for a proprietary SodaStream tank. Well made and a great solution October 25, 2012 Reviewer: Megan from PA United States   For a bit of investment, I now have a soda/seltzer maker that will cost me only $3.99 per fill up rather than $30 plus the hassle of shipping for the smaller 14.5 oz sodastream bottles. The point of buying the soda stream for me was to reduce waste, save money, have less to carry (seltzer bottles) from the market and make my own less sweet, non-chemical laden beverages. Great Product. October 23, 2012 Reviewer: David Nyberg from Sterling, IL United States   The 15 oz replacements are $30 each and exchanges are $20 each. With the adapter, I can refill locally for $5 each 20 oz cylinder. My initial investment is less than $75 or about 4 refills. Everything from here out is savings of $15 a cylinder fill. SodaMod adapter works well October 23, 2012 Reviewer: John LeDuc from HOUSTON, TX United States   Works just as described - many thanks :) This will save me a ton of money and is worth the investment.  Local sporting goods store refills the 12 oz tanks for under $3 apiece. A very nice thing is that the hex wrench key used to adjust the nozzle comes with the adapter, wrapped separately.  I didn't find one small enough in my key sets (I have three) so this a very nice nice unexpected treat. Just an item of note for those ordering tanks - they will arrive empty.  Presumably this is for safety reasons.  So don't go installing everything straight away with the hopes that you'll have fizzy water minutes after opening the box! It will take a while to recoup the cost, but: I would gladly pay the price out of principal to reward ingenuity and defeat SodaStream's price fixing scheme.  But if you need convincing, here's some rough math: Two 12 oz. CO2 paintball canisters are $40. So, this gadget plus tanks are $100. You save $12 per fill ($2.99 vs, $14.99).  Cost will be recouped by 9th CO2 fill ($12 x 9=$108).  Yes, the SodaStream canister holds a little more CO2, so this is only guideline... Just as advertised! October 17, 2012 Reviewer: Kitt Y from Las Vegas, NV United States   Awesome product.  I loved the SodaStream orginally but was annoyed by the fact the CO2 was so expensive.  Tried it for the first time with the SodaMod and it worked perfectly.  Excellent!
