So much more awesome than Sodastream's Monopoly September 5, 2017 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Makawao, HI United States   Sodastream tanks can't be refilled, and must be exchanged for new tanks to replaced. This is a big problem for me because I live in an area where the only place to refill tanks has a waiting list of 7 months to switch tanks.  To use my sodastream I would have to pay full price for new tanks, as well as create a whole bunch of waste in the form of empty tanks.   Enter Sodamod.  Two tanks and the adapter for about a hundred bucks shipped seems a bit steep, but in the long run it will undoubtedly pay off (especially since it's so much cheaper to refill these tanks than it is to even exchange tanks...if that was an option). I did hit a bit of a snafu, when Sodamod accidently forgot to include the adapter in the first shipment.  No big deal though, a phone call to them resulted in them rushing me out a new adapter super fast.  Love the new system. Fantastic! Pays for itself! April 11, 2017 Reviewer: Rachel Lucas from Salem, OR United States   So glad to have beverage grade tanks for my CO2! And the adapter being lead-free is also important to me. I bought this one for my daughter's family and especially their young children. Also, the adaptor is easy to use and fits perfectly, unlike a cheaper one I bought from another company that leaked horribly. There is an initial cash outlay with these but they pay for themselves over time, especially here in Oregon where soda (and all beverages, including water) will have a 10 cent deposit on every can and bottle come April, and the bottle return centers are inconvenient, sticky and gross. We usually just throw our cans in the curbside recycling, but with these tanks and adaptor and our SodaStream, we are saving money like crazy! Plus, it even tastes better. What's not to like! Soda Mod January 30, 2017 Reviewer: WILLIAM MOREY from Waterford, CT United States   Got it all up and working. Be careful and measure twice (the weight) after filling to ensure not overfilled. I bought a 20lb Tk from AirGas that was stamped with s and red paint on top to ID as siphon Tk. Drove me nuts because it was NOT a siphon tk as it was described. But I inverted it and it works as a non-siphon tank. Was this review helpful to you?

Works great! October 13, 2016 Reviewer: Gregory Holmberg from Lafayette, CA United States   Once I found and adjusted the set screw, it worked great.  The screw had fallen out in the packaging. I filled the 24-oz bottle at Dick's Sporting Goods for $5. I bought two 24-oz bottles and the adapter for about $100.  Exchanging the SodaStream 33-oz bottle is $50.  I estimate I will come out ahead after filling four SodaMod bottles.
